Focusing is a non issue for A7III. Amazing lens. Bought this lens concerned about low light focusing. I shoot weddings and creative portrait work and need the lens be able to quickly lock onto the subject when the lighting isn’t ideal.Using continuous focus on the A7iii I have had no issues with auto focusing and can rely on this lens to find the eye instantly. Yes, some shots will be out of focus (1 out of 10) when shooting at 1.4, but that is to be expected.I don’t touch the single shot focus mode with this lens…

More versitile than my 35mm rokinon Comparing this to my 35mm f1.4 rokinon, this is definitely more versitile, thus most useful. In retrospect i should have skipped the 35 mm rokinon with this one. Great picture quality. A bit heavy but i dont mind. Holding it with my a7ii definitely reminds me of holding something of quality.

Really Good, BUT I have mixed feelings about this lens. It’s potentially fantastic, but falls short. It’s super sharp with great character and contrast, better than any of the Sony Zeiss AF primes under $1200. There’s moderate chromatic aberration as you might expect from a fast prime (also better than the Zeiss stuff). The focus issues are not as bad with the mark 3 bodies, but judge for yourself. The biggest issue for me was the lens copy I got was coloring parts of the picture with a red shading… Not the…
