Northern Lights Friendly. Great value for the price. I purchased lens to work in conjunction with my Sony NEX-5t for night time photography. Although I am still learning the lens in terms of finding the perfect infinity focus (most lenses actual infinity focus is just back from the hard stop setting), on only my second outing to photograph the Aurora Borealis the lens worked very well.
