The COOLPIX B500 Digital Camera from Nikon features a 16MP 1/2.3″ BSI CMOS sensor for high-resolution imagery as well as Full HD 1080p video. This sensor’s construction utilizes a stacked backside-illuminated design to improve clarity and image quality when working in dimly-lit conditions. The 40x optical zoom lens provides a 35mm equivalent focal range of 22.5-900mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto perspectives to suit working in a wide variety of environments. Further subject magnification can be achieved using the 80x Dynamic Fine Zoom that effectively doubles the camera’s reach. The lens also features Vibration Reduction to help reduce the appearance of camera shake when shooting at the longer zoom lengths or with longer shutter speeds. A 3″ 921k-dot tilting LCD screen allows image composition from unique angles, as well as image review and menu navigation.

Remote For Camera That Has No Remote This camera appears to be excellent for the price, with ease of use and simple to understand menus. This camera package includes an infrared remote shutter release…which is one of the main reasons I purchased it. Unfortunately, the B500 model does not support infrared remote control. So the shutter release add-on is useless.This is very disappointing, as including the infrared unit implies the camera supports it. Great product and great customer service My husband and I are planning a trip to Alaska in 2020 and I wanted a decent camera that was also fairly easy to use. After some research we decided on the Nikon Coolpix B500. Then I saw this option with the accessory bundle. Freezes sometimes but great camera I love the camera so far I’m having a hard time learning how to use certain parts of it to get the best picture but I believe that once I learn it’ll be wonderful I don’t like that it takes regular batteries because they die fast I also didn’t like that I left it on record and I didn’t record for the entirety that I needed it to I don’t know if it was because of the batteries or what happened and sometimes it freezes and I have to open the battery section and then we close it to make it come on…
