Double-check reason for purchase! It’s made well enough & does what a general microphone should do…HOWEVER…my reason for purchase was to get rid of the autofocus-motor noise in my video recording (on a D7000). Since the recording field of this mike is a general/uni-directional pattern (more or less), any camera noise audible to your ears is still highly-audible on your recordings. The internal mics on the D7000 are good (and certainly comparable to what the ME-1 is, minus the low-cut filter & wind noise filter), so if your…

Great microphone! Don’t forget extension cabling. 🙂 I’ve had my microphone for a couple months now, and really find that I like it a lot. The on-board microphone on the Nikon D3s isn’t bad, but I wanted something in close to what I was recording, so this is great for interviews.

Adds sound quality to your videos! Adds sound quality to your videos! I have a Canon EOS 60D & adding this stereo mic has been a big plus. I’ve had no issues using this mic at all. Very simple to setup & use. The connecting audio cable is never in the way; not too short, not too long – just right. The sound quality is robust compared to the built-in mono mic. Go for it!
