Unbeatable deal. Improvements still possible, though. Great overall. Can be dimmed. Lights up whole backyard at night (e.g. 30′ x 50′)! I’d give it a 4.5 stars if I could. This light will accept many different kinds of rechargeable batteries, but I used AAs and they lasted for a long time. (Yes, it’ll take non-rechargeable AAs, too.) Jason Lanier (a pro photographer) specifically recommends that one who is new to the use of lights or strobe-type flashes use an LED light first to learn how light falls on a subject before buying a strobe-type…

It connects easily and securely to the camera and provides a surprisingly bright fill light. If you have it on the highest setting, its so bright it almost hurts the eyes. Fortunately, you can adjust this for different situations. The only thing that is a bit odd is that the batteries are directly visible from the back even when the compartment is closed…This isn’t really a problem, just kind of something I haven’t seen before and threw me…

Exceeded my expectations. I couldn’t be more pleased with these lights. I purchased them to use to light myself against a green screen at my computer, with an additional flood light behind me, and they work perfectly. My kit including two lights, two tripods, two batteries, two chargers, and two sets of three filters, all as described. Lights are capable of being turned up WAY brighter that I’d ever need and can be dimmed to a usable brightness for lighting oneself from your desk.

Any EF or EF-S can be used with your fine camera. If you ever uptade to a full frame camera like a 5D, only EF lenses can be used.Only lenses made before 1988, the FD lenses, cannot be used with your EOS cameraIf you don’t have a wider angle zoom, you may want to look at the new 18-55 mm IS or if your budget can stand it, the 17-55 mm f/2.8 or 17-85 mm f/4 ~ 5.6References : proFotog
